i turned 30 in a musty and dim Brazilian nightclub with Pirates as servers. At midnight, my friends surrounded me giving me hugs and kissing my cheeks with congratulations. it really was perfect.
someone in the band announced, "Happy Birthday to Heacher from United States!" and then i got hit on by two different twenty-year-olds. (dude, i don't care how cute your accent is, you're 20. hasta.) nonetheless, i'm taking it as a sign of luck.

por favor, tell me your favorite birthday stories!

Heather! How fun! I have to say that Halloween isn't the same without you.. Ryanne almost lost her eyesight from a glowstick, Savannah got a bloody nose and Matt scared me to death by taking me to a lame haunted house! I wish I could've been at your party instead!

mare--i would think that matt would have scared you to death more by that dress than the haunted house!
trish--love the videos, where is the last one? i can't find it and am excited to see it!
sara!!! where did you come from? yay! yes, i remember our insane Halloweens from USU. there are certain things you can get away with in college that you cannot anywhere else!

I wished you a happy birthday in Fiji. And if you consider a few Irish guys wishing us a Happy Halloween a birthday wish, then you had two Irish men wishing you a good one. They even had a few beers for you. I love your blog. When I turned 22 in the Florida Keys I got over 22 kisses (on the cheek) from the staff. They were all in their young 20's but so was I so it was okay. However, I did get a nice kiss from a 24 Brit last week in Fiji. That too young?

tamara, glad you're back. 24 is not too young, as long as he was Hot and Foreign.
i'll check the blog all about Fiji. yay for the Irish happy birthday! xo

Happy belated Birthday, Heather! Doesn't it feel a little weird to be your 30s now? I turned the big 3-0 in May, and it was a trifle odd. Can't complain, though. My husband turned 41 in Oct. Hee hee. He didn't give me much sympathy. :)
